Offshore Belize boasts the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere, stretching 185 miles in the beautiful clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. With hundreds of islands (known as cayes in Belize), the marine life and coral is diverse, abundant, and colorful with 70 types of hard coral and nearly 500 species of fish. Three of the only four coral atolls in the western hemisphere can also be found off the coast of Belize, along with the famous Blue Hole.
